Junior School Tour 2019

Today, junior Infants to 2nd class headed 

off on their school tour to Lismore 

Heritage Centre for an action packed day. 

The children participated in a number of 

fun activities including painting, drama

activities, puzzles in the park, a minibeast 

hunt in the forest and a trip to the 

playground. The sun shone and 

a wonderful day was had by all. 

On Friday 21st June we held our flag raising ceremony for our

second green school flag. This is a fantastic achievement for our

school and everybody has been working very hard in order to

achieve this.


We have been trying to reduce the amount of energy used at
​
​home and in our school. 

Here are the book lists for each class for the academic year 2019-20

​The boys and girls from Sixth Class negotiate the raging waters

of Knoppogue, the stream that runs by St. Bartholomew's Well.

This is an annual challenge which sees the children pass from

primary school into secondary school in June. All children were

accounted for afterwards!

Thank you to Aldi Ireland and all the families and friends who

sent in stickers for the Aldi competition. 

We filled three posters in total and have been sent three boxes

for entering. 

Each box contains a kit bag, 4 rugby balls, 6 water bottles and a

carry case for the bottles. Great use will be made out of all of

these resources so thank you all again. 

Well done to all the children who participated in the Cork City

Sports this year. Our school was well represented as always.

On the 4th of June 2019, M and M theatrical productions visited

our school and treated us all to a wonderful performance of

'Oliver Twist'. The production was greatly enjoyed by all. Thank

you to Marie Gubbins for setting up the hall for us on the

morning. Your help was greatly appreciated.
