Annual Fun Run / Walk 2018  Our Annual 6K Fun Run/Walk/cycle will take place on Sunday the 15th of April 2018 @ 11.00 am. Registration will take place in Bartlemy Hall from 10.30am. Entry is €5 per person, €10 per family or sponsorship card. Refreshments will be served throughout the morning from 10am. All cyclists must wear helmets. All proceeds will go to Bishop O'Brien National School. Participants will be in with a chance of winning lucky dip prizes with our fundraising games throughout the day. Come along and enjoy the fun.

Seachtain na Gaeilge 2018 Bhí imeachtaí ar siúl againn ar feadh na seachtaine. Bhí "Lá Glas" againn ar an déardaoin agus bhí na páistí in ann éadaí glasa a chaitheamh ar scoil. Ar an Déardaoin ghlac na páistí páirt sa Céilí Mór freisin.. Rinne na páistí rince difriúla ar nós An Dreoilín, Cuir Bróg ar an Asal agus Ionsaí na hInse Bhain na páistí an-taitneamh as na himeachtaí agus bhí siad ag déanamh an-iarracht an Ghaeilge a labhairt cé chomh minic agus is féidir i rith Seachtain na Gaeilge. Lego Workshop 2018 On Wednesday the 14th of February 2018, all the children in the school became junior engineers as they took part in a Lego workshop with Learn IT. Each class was given a project to complete and great teamwork and problem solving skills were evident in all classes. Junior and Senior Infants created a hockey player and a racing car. 1st & 2nd class built an alligator and used coding software to make the alligator’s mouth move. 3rd & 4th class had to design a yacht on wheels with different sized sails , they had to test which sail worked best in helping the yacht to sail and finally 5th & 6th class built a race car with gears. They had both a fast and a slow race with their cars. It was a fantastic day which was enjoyed by all. Many thanks to our Parents’ Association who funded the workshop for us.
