We celebrated World Book Day in our school on the 23rd of
March 2018. All the children looked fantastic as they came to school dressed up as their favourite book characters. Lots of reading- based activities took place throughout the day such as character interviews, book reviews and shared reading between junior and senior classes. This year we were very fortunate to have a local author, Jim Bartley, visit our school. Jim visited all the classrooms, he discussed his work as an author and the inspiration behind his stories . The children really enjoyed creating their own stories with Jim's help. Jim's lovely books 'The Adventures of Pippy and Dippy' can be bought for €5 each. Please email the school at [email protected] if you would like to purchase one.
