We have recently been awarded our first Green Flag! The Green Flag (based on the theme of Litter and Waste) was presented to our school by An Taisce at an awards ceremony  on the 11th May.

Two pupils from our Green Schools committee attended to accept the award on behalf of our school. 

​We will hold a flag raising ceremony in June. 

On the 27th April 2017 we took part in An Taisce's National Spring Clean. A clean-up of the school grounds and the local area took place (including the church grounds and the village).

​The litter was then sorted into recyclable and non-recyclable materials. 
​
It was a great day which taught us that we are all responsible for our local environment and ensuring that it is kept litter free and looking its best.
